A Girl Singer's Tale

Picture
Heather Findlay - ex-lead singer of Mostly Autumn; highly successful solo artiste due to be touring the UK in November 2012; voted Heartthrob in Classic Rock Presents Prog 2011 poll and "prog goddess" top-rated nominee talks about her involvement with Rob and The Captain Blue album!

Why did you do the project in the first place?

Because Rob smells divine :) And he's no half bad on the old joanna neeva! I like Rob and his tunes are most whistleable. Reminds me a lot of Alan Parsons project in places.

What was it you liked about it?

I had a great laugh with Rob and it's always good to face the challenge of someone else telling you what to do!

What was the least enjoyable experience of the project?

Being away from my boys.

What was the most enjoyable experience of the project?

Because of how hard Rob worked me, the glass of red wine at the end of the session was rather nice...! :))

What was  - for you - the funniest moment?

Filming for the promo video and recording sillies for the out-takes bin! My impersonations will get me in to trouble one of these days..! ;))

How much (or not!)  you enjoyed  the project?

Loads!

Which is your favourite track - and why?

Only Time Will Tell - because of it's beauty and fragility - it regularly gets stuck in my head.

Captain Blue - because it makes me feel five years old again.

Anything else you can think of?!!

Um...love Rob's voice. It's like a cross between the fella from Tears for Fears, David Gilmour and Mikael Akerfeldt!

Finally - would you do it again?!!

Oh, go on then... ;) xxx
